The RailRoad collection represents an era in Hamilton’s history that dates back over one hundred years. The only method of timing that the railroad companies possessed in those days was pocket watches.
The accuracy and safety of the entire system was dependent on the precision and reliability of the staff’s timepieces. Hamilton was an important provider of pocket watches to American railroad staff and patrons, which explains why they were know as the “watch company of railroad accuracy.”
The models in the American Classic RailRoad collection retain some of the features of the pocket watches that Hamilton built in the late Nineteenth Century.

Luxury jewels and timepiece maker Graff, recently announced at BaselWorld 2010 that the company will introduce its own watch movement. The design will be titled, “Graff Calibre 1.”
The new watch movement will beat at 28,800 vph and also have a power reserve of 50 hours.
Calibre 1 will feature an updated version of Graff’s men’s dress watch – GraffStar Grand Date.

The Baselworld 2010 fair is undeniably the most important trade show for the watch industry. Within its immense confines there is one place that shines above all the rest.
Hall 1.0 is the first floor of the main building for watch brand exhibitors, and it is where important brands such as Patek and Rolex setup their impressive booths. Amongst the new-comers to Hall 1.0 this year was U-Boat.
As it is no small feat to be in this area, it is important to justify your presence by unveiling great new products. Italo Fontana, owner and designer of U-Boat watches, lived up to this expectation with several new models including the one I am about to present, the Classico Titanium Chronograph.
